Currently Reading
Les Miserables : Complete and Unabridged (Signet Classics)
By Victor Hugo, Norman MacAfee

So I can't get to sleep so I thought that I would update my xanga...even though it has been a really really long time! This summer has been great so far.  I am working my tail off (yes...I have a tail), at the Allen Outlet mall.  I got my old job back at Cole Haan, but they were not able to give me as many hours as were desired, so I am working part time at Polo Ralph Lauren as well.  In my spare time I have finished defensive driving, learned how to play tennis (sorta), eaten some really good cookies (thanks to Mrs.Raetz), and hung out with awesome friends!!  I am also currently reading Les Miserables because my mom wants to go see it in while it is still playing in Dallas and I really like it so far.  We are also going to go see Rascal Flatts on June 16!! My mom got the tickets for "father's day" but the truth is that she just wants to go see it.  It is going to be a really fun concert though and Kate is comming with us!  Later this month me and Matt are flying to Florida to see Michelle (my roommate last school year), Amy, and Erica Diaz (other awesome florida friends)!!  Anyway...I got to catch some z's, so I'm gonna go.  GOODNIGHT!!

So alot of stuff has happened since I last updated...I went to Baylor orientation and orientated (I know that's not really a word...but I did accidently use it once)  myself...I got addicted to face book (everyone who has a college e-mail should get one)...went on a family reunion in Hot Springs, Arkansas...and worked...alot.  I can't really complain that much though because it's money in the bank.

I am going to miss so many people here when I go off to Baylor, but lately I have really felt ready to go.  Not that McKinney is a bad town or anything...I'm just really ready for something new...something different.  When I went to orientation, I really got the feeling that Baylor is exactly where the Lord wants me to be next year and I can't wait!

I hope that everyone is having a great summer!!

This summer has been great so far !!!  I have been working alot so I havn't been able to do as much as I would like to at chuch...which is really sad considering that this is the last summer that I will be in the youth group.  Despite that, God still continues to reveal himself to me on a daily basis through His word and my wonderful friends.

I just got done reading a book called Your Best Life Now written by the pastor of Lakewood church, Joel Osteen.  It was a great book and I learned alot from it, but the main thing that I felt that God taught me was that you have to choose to be happy...on a daily basis.  When you wake up in the morning you have to make the conscious decision that you are not going to let any negative circumstances dictate weather you are going to have a "good day" or a "bad day."  If you truely want to live the abundant life that Christ intended for His children,  then you can't go around complaining about all of your problems and dwelling on them.  There are appropriate times for mourning and I'm not saying that it is always going to be easy,  but when you are faced with difficulties, you will overcome them much faster and come out much stronger if you choose to dwell on your blessings and not on everything that you have lost.  God's people should be the happiest people on earth!!!

So I am completely done with all of my work...just took my last final today and I guess it just now hit me...I'm graduating tomarrow!! This was amazing year and I will miss so many people..but I'm not too upset because I know that I have an amazing summer ahead of me with amazing friends.  It will be really sad though when we all hafta go off to college.  Why think of that now though...this summer is going to be great!! yay!!

                                            God Bless!!

So this weekend was great...Prom, amaizing...but i was writing a "to do" list in calculus and I realized that i have a whole lot of crap to do and not alot of time to do it.  I am so stressed and not to mention (for all of those who are in psychology and know what I'm talking about) experiencing severe cognitive dissonance right now (sigh).  Thats more of a one-on-one conversation though...i don't want to bore everyone with my petty drama.

On a lighter note...i found out today that I am exempt from my calculus and psychology finals!  I have to go get started on some homework now though...so I'll leave by telling everyone to come to the spring concert tomarrow on the pourch at 7:00 and the harmony show thursday at 7:30! Both are going to be really good this year!
